Vacancy: Residential Conveyancer

About us

C&R Legal Limited is a successful firm of Solicitors with offices in the Cotswolds, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire (offices Lechlade, Faringdon and Highworth). Having experienced some recent growth in the firm we are looking for a permanent, full-time conveyancer to supplement the existing team.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years PQE plus
  • Solicitor, Legal Executive or CLC

Role Description

Management of a caseload of residential property transactions including leasehold, freehold, sales & purchases, unregistered properties & new builds, from instruction to completion. Dealing with clients both regionally and nationally.

  • To run a caseload of the full range of residential conveyancing matters from opening a file to completion
  • Being competent in dealing with both leasehold and unregistered title
  • Signing files off authorising an Exchange of Contracts to take place on a sale and purchase.
  • Dealing with clients, brokers, agents, or other work providers in a professional manner.
  • Dealing with post completion issues and ensuring post-completion is concluded accurately
  • Handle client billing and ensure all billing is accurate and timely
  • Ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently using the firms case management system.
  • To meet the standards set by the Conveyancing Quality Scheme

The Candidate we are looking for

The incoming Conveyancer will have experience in dealing with all Residential Property matters. They will also have

  • Proven track record of complex residential property work, with a minimum of 2 years+ PQE.
  • Be self-motivated and able to organise their own workload and be able to work under pressure.
  • Have a strong work ethic, good time management skills and a flexible approach to work.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year depending on experience

Benefits and rewards

You will be given 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and 3 designated days between Christmas and New Year, pension and a supportive and welcoming work environment.

Offices are open 9 am – 5 pm Monday – Friday for a 35 hour week. There is lunchtime closure across the business.
